GreenCorps Service Member
Willa is a Minnesota GreenCorps Member serving with the Office of Sustainability for the 2023-24 term. She grew up in Northfield Minnesota, and graduated from Lawrence university in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Art History. In college, Willa interned on a biodynamic farm in Pennsylvania, and was involved with her University’s on campus sustainable garden: both which sparked her interest in local food systems and sustainable agriculture. Willa is most happy when she is hiking, gardening, or in the ceramics studio.
This year on campus Willa will be involved in creating a closed loop composting system, food awareness days, invasive species removal, and the Free Store for UMD students.
