Lilly Campbell

Sustainability Student Assistant

Bio

I am a sophomore here at UMD who is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies; a combination of Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, and Art. I am originally from Hudson, WI (just across the border from the Twin Cities)! Growing up, I was ALWAYS outside. Whether it was making mud soup in the backyard, or going with my grandparents on National Park trips around the country, I have always loved learning about the natural beauty around us.

Besides being outdoors, I enjoy anything that has to do with art. While that may be listening to music, taking dance classes, singing in USingers, or knitting in my free time, I will always be doing something creative. I enjoy bringing others together to learn and create in new and innovative ways!

Some of the main reasons I decided to go to UMD was the gorgeous natural environment/landscape and the Sustainability Program our campus has to offer. My personal passion in sustainability and the outdoors, along with my future endeavors to own a sustainable business, led me to the Office of Sustainability. Whether it is helping in the Free Store, running different events around campus, or even just talking with others about sustainability, I love being a part of this team! I am hoping to use my business understanding, innovative mindset, and optimistic outlook to create a safe and welcoming environment for all to learn about sustainability and the world around us!
